This is also a great time to make your New Years Resolutions and make the commitment to do something you really love. Our hope is that your New Year Resolution is to start up that instrument that you've been wanting to do for a long time or to continue to develop your musical skills.
So before the holiday is over, remember to have fun, enjoy your family and to think what you would like to accomplish for 2019.
Our Family at Los Angeles Music Teachers wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Q&A from Owner/TeacherRick Rossi of Los Angeles Music Teachers
How did you get into teaching
"I think I just loved music so much that I was constantly talking about it and that led me to teaching other people starting with helping my friends. I love teaching students because music can really bring lots of excitement to their lives especially when they get over certain hurtles and start jammin with other musicians. That’s always been my goal, and it’s great because I’ve met so many students who have become life long friends."
What made you decide to start up Los Angeles music teachers?
I have a lot of friends in Los Angeles who also love to teach music and are fantastic teachers. We had been talking about the idea of creating a music school with all the best teachers in Los Angeles, so four years ago I created my first website to launch the idea.
What made you decide to expand on the school?
Actually, the longer I teach music the more satisfaction I get from teaching people. I was having a lot of success pulling in students for myself and some other close friends and I decided to take it to the next level and open it up to all of the major instruments like piano guitar drums and voice.
Where do you see your school’s success in the next few years?
With the kind of promotion that I’m working on right now, I see us doubling the size of our student enrollment by next year. I would like to be up to 400 students within three years.
